The Go2Web20 tool that I chose was StoryJumper. It would work in my grade level and it can also be used in other grades. You can adapt the assignment. I would think it would be most useful in the elementary schools. My first screen is useful for creating your own story. Students can create their own story and use the props and screen
backgrounds available.
This is an example that I created to see how the students would use this tool. My book is titled "I Wonder."
I created a dedication page to my students. As the teacher you can explain why we use dedication pages.
My opening page starts off with a question?
I did not complete the book but it is a book to show how people think. The first page says," What are you thinking right now?" My other pages will show things that people think about. It may say, " Are you thinking about what we will do next?" etc.
Storyjumper also allows you to read books online. These books can be read by the teacher or by the students.
This is a sample of the book, "The MockingBird".
This book can be used as a teaching tool to demonstrate punctuation, ways to start a story and the use of adjectives or descriptive words.
The students can log on and read it independently as well for enjoyment.
This tool has other books that you can choose from. One of my favorites is "The Boy that Cried Wolf."
Hello Bremy,
ReplyDeleteI like Story Jumper. I think I will let my students experiment with it.
I am glad I was able to help. Let me know how you and you students find the story jumper.
